I followed the various presentations by the guests with particular interest. I can note the concern shared by most of us immigrants regarding biculturalism and, in particular, its effects, whether beneficial or not. I appreciate and encourage the project’s initiator and take this opportunity to reiterate my hope that this initiative will take root, grow, and inspire others. Once again, hats off to the initiator and long live the organization.

Roots of tomorrow event
The Double culture event hosted by Racines de Demain was engaging and enlightening for all of those who attended. The conversations were poignant and eye opening when it came to discussions about meshing the Congolese and Canadian cultures. People shared their thoughts, concerns and opinions about the various things that plagues our community such as: graduation rates, parent-child relationships, and much more. It was very interesting to hear and see members of the community share their concerns and it reminded us that there is hope for the future ahead. Roots of tomorrow made it possible for parents and the youth to share their different viewpoints. I’m looking forward to attending and participating in future workshops and events.

The meeting, which brought together parents, students, educators, and school representatives, highlighted the integration challenges faced by children of immigrants within the Franco-Ontarian community.
The invited specialist, an expert in early childhood education, emphasized the main challenges related to the academic and social integration of students, as well as those encountered by their parents who are new to Canada. These constructive discussions fostered a shared understanding of the situation and allowed the participants to enrich their collective thinking on potential support strategies.
The Double Culture organization is commended for this valuable initiative, which addresses a genuine need for guidance and support within the community.

Congratulations on the success of your NGO’s first outing! This is an incredible achievement that testifies to your hard work, determination, and commitment to your mission.
Every child is a promise for the future, and Racine de Demain aims to promote education, intercultural dialogue, and the fight against racism and antisemitism.
In conclusion: the event was very enriching and met all our expectations. Well done!
